Concert Sunday -- 9 & 10 Grades Bring Bakery

The IHS Holiday Concert will be held this Sunday at 2:00 pm., in the IHS Auditorium. Ninth and Tenth grade students are asked to provide bakery for this event. Bakery can be dropped off in the cafeteria prior to the concert.

CVC Honors Band

The Chagrin Valley Conference (CVC) Honors Band is an annual day-long event hosted on a rotating basis by a CVC school. The band is comprised of director-nominated musicians from the 18 member schools of the CVC.

In 2011, the CVC Honors Band will be conducted by Mr. Galen Karriker, Assistant Director of Bands at the University of Akron. An avid percussionist, Mr. Karriker is in demand as a clincian and guest conductor. The 2011 Honors Band will be held at Independence High School on Tuesday, April 26, 2011. The event will culminate in a performance on the Independence High School auditorium stage at 7:00 p.m.
